I have been teaching at Lamar High School since 1999, so this is my twentieth year as a Warrior. Currently, I teach Senior English and Advanced Placement English and Composition.
Prior to joining the faculty of LHS, I worked at U of O in the library and in the tutoring lab while I was pursuing my degree.
My family is important to me. My husband and I have been married forty years, and have three adult children. The best part of having adult children is that we also have two precious grandchildren who both attend school at Lamar. Our family is completed by too many dogs, a cat, two horses, two goats, and two parakeets. (Our household is not very quiet.)
When I have a free moment, I like to fill my time reading. I love fantasy novels, historical fiction, historical nonfiction, biographies, and I eat up Young Adult literature. I like to read what my students are reading, so I started building a classroom library of popular fiction for students to borrow. (I’m always open to suggestions and donations.)
